There’s no accounting for the destructive power of mother nature. It’s fucked up, devastating, and incredibly traumatic. Having lived through the fires and mudslides in Montecito that claimed 23 lives and many more homes, I know the depths of sadness, anger, and grief that disasters like this create; and I remember how long it took for us to come out of shock.
