Warm Thoughts - Submitted December 6, 2002
Dear Kenny, My wife and I sent you a long email in Aug. of 1998 just prior to attending your concert at the St. Michelle Winery. It detailed our daughters love for House at Pooh Corner and the fact that she was stricken with a disease called Tay-Sachs.
Emily passed away last October at 5 1/2 years old, far surpassing her 2 to 3 year life expectancy. Your song filled her life and heart to her final day and we'd like to thank you once again for the gift of your music. Our biggest problem now is finding a justifiable reason to sing the song out loud 20 or 30 times a day ... We'll figure something out and in the meantime, every time we hear it, warm thoughts of Emily come flowing into our hearts ...
We'll be at the Winery this Friday, a dozen strong, to bask in your music .... See you there. ~ Ken and Karla Jones, Anchorage Alaska
Thank you for your heartfelt letter. My condolences. No one knows what you are going through except those who have lost a child.
